Information from Alfred Denstad as told to Annie Denstad Erikson on Febrary 1964. Ingebret was christened Ingebrith Svendsen and the name Denstad added when he moved to the farm of Denstad where his children were born. The first child of Ingebret was Ole. He used the name of Denstad and his son, Alfred, remembers only that his father and grandfather were known by the surname of DENSTAD. Date of entry: 31 Mar 1999

Alfred Denstad describes his parents as good honest and upright people. They were members of the Lutheran Church before joining The Church of Jesus Christ. Mother was a quiet person never spoke ill of anyone. She was a searcher for truth. She went to many different religions. She finally found The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and joined.

Alfred DENSTAD

He was a carpenter. In Norway he was learning the trade of blacksmithing.

Alfred left Salt Lake City on the 12 Jan 1912 for a Scandinavian Mission to Norway. Released the 14 April 1914. Returned to Salt Lake City 10 Jun1914 after visiting his relatives in Trondhien, Norway.
