David Regal - The Prince of Magic.

David Regal is one of the most charming magicians I have ever had the pleasure to meet. Simply put he is a giant among magicians, and a prince among men - a Prince Charming in ever way. In fact, if you compared David's stature and finely chiseled features with that of Prince Valent you would find a striking resemblance. Many magicians have called themselves the King of Coins, Cards, or Magic. However, David is the only magician I would call the "Prince of Magicians." To put it another way, David is Regal in every sense of the word - a true "Prince of Magic."

You can find David performing regularly at the Magic Castle. This shouldn't be a surprise. Where else would you find the "Prince of Magicians" but in a "Magic Castle?" Or in this case, the Magic Castle in Hollywood, California. Where you can find David reigning over a number of magical effects that he has created.

His magical effects cover a wide range. Everything from cards, coins, rings, and even strings of beads.

Yet what makes each magic effect so spectacular is the effort that David has put into scripting every aspect of his routines. By his crafting of words, mundane effects are transformed into works of magic. You can even close your eyes and the magic of his words can transport you into a realm of magic.

So it comes as no surprise that David has taken his skill at crafting words to become a professional writer. His crafting skills are currently being used in the TV industry. However, he has also written a great book on his magic. The book is "Up Close & Personal," which contains many of his wonderful effects. The book is so popular with magicians that copies have been flying off bookshelves at Magic Shops everywhere. In fact, even though it was only published recently, the book is already out-of-print, and has become scares to find. So if you find an available copy, purchase it before it disappears.

Another book you may want to find is "STAR QUALITY, The Magic of David Regal" by Harry Lorayne. It is also out-of-print, and hard to find. Still, as Harry says in the forward of this book, "So far as I'm concerned, each and every effect I've included is worth more than you paid for the book - no matter the price!" So no matter the effort I encourage you to find these two books on David Regal's magic and read them. Who knows, you may be able to take a "Page of Magic" from these books, and start your path on the Royal Road to the Realm of Magic.
