Michael Ammar is a well dress, charismatic
magician. He is probably one of the most talented all round magician
today. Unlike many magicians that focus their talent on one aspect of
the magic trade (i.e., cards, coins, cups and balls.) Michael enjoys
all aspect of magic, and will baffle audience with anything on hand.
However, this review will focus on Michael's ability to create magic
with borrowed dollar bills.
He has borrowed two dollar bills from the
audience, and then tears the bills in half. He then returns a dollar
bill half back to each spectator. To the consternation of the
audience, he then destroys the remaining two halves. Michael then has
someone in the audience select a peanut from a large bag of peanuts.
When the peanut shell is opened, inside is found the two halves of
the dollar bills that he destroyed. These halves perfect match the
halves that held by the spectators.
Michael also does the million-dollar bill
switch. In this effect he would take a hundred-dollar bill, give it
several folds until it makes a small bundle. When he unfolds the
bundled bill, it is found to have become a one dollar bill. He can
hand out the bill for examination. He will then repeat the effect and
return the one dollar bill back into the hundred-dollar bill.
Michael's most famous dollar bill effect is
the floating dollar bill. He did this illusion on Johnny Carson's
show. In this effect Michael borrowed a dollar bill to float
magically in front of him. He would then pass his hand all around the
bill to show that it was truly floating. The bill then floated over
to Johnny Carson and landed in his hands.
This review has only focus on one aspect of
Michael's magic. It would be impossible in so short a space to talk
about everything Michael has been know to do. It could easily fill a
book. In fact, Michael has written a book that cover his magic. He
called the book "The Magic of Michael Ammar," published by L&L
Publishing. He has also written a book on the "Cups and
Balls." You should check it out as well. |
