REVIEW

Bruce Cervon careful recorded many things he learned from Dai Vernon at the Magic Castle. His notes grew to fill fourteen binders. These volumes became known as the legendary "Castle Notebooks." Later with Dai Vernon's permission the "Castle Notebooks" aided in the creation of "The Vernon Chronicles." A wealth of magical lore can be found in these books.

"More Lost Inner Secrets" is the second book in the series. This book takes up where the previous book left off with a wide assortment of magical effects. However, the final chapter of this book includes unpublished effects by Max Malini, Nate Leipzig, and Henry Christ. Therefore, you can glean a myriad of wonderful effects from this book. The "Tale of the Treasury-Worm" is just one of those effects.

In this effect Dai Vernon states that the U.S. government uses silk thread to make dollar bills. To prove this Dai takes a borrowed bill so he can pull a silk thread from it. He rolls the bill into a cone. From the cone he attempts to grab a small thread of silk as evidence. Yet instead of a thread of green silk he ends up pulling a large green silk handkerchief out. This is a wonderfully way to magically produce a silk handkerchief.
