Ron Seward, Ruth Sulik, Anthony White, Thalia Swinyer, Leonard Swinyer, Murlin Wenzel, Tamera Wilson, Dian Thomas, Brad Gordon, Robert Blackham, James Davis, David Johnson, Kathryn Johnson, Chris Kenney, Eric Wanner, Barbara Dahl, Mel Armstrong, Carol Esterreicher, Harry Schumann, Kerry Summers, Jess Cone, and Kim Walkowski attended tonight's meeting. Missing the meeting was Don and Inabelle Lujan. Inabelle Lujan became ill the other day, so Don and Inabelle were unable to attend the meeting. Everyone sorely missed them.

With a rousing introduction, Ron Seward introduced the guest lecturer for the night, a magician's magician, a man who goes by one name, "Daryl." Yes, that is correct, the master of prestidigitation, the one and only "Daryl."

Daryl

He started the evening with a routine called "Bounce Across." A bizarre routine that uses the "Bounce/No Bounce Balls." He then followed up with "The Enchanted Cube," where Daryl solves the Rubiks Cube by tossing it in the air. He then did "Dicey Dots," "Eight Card Brainwave 2000," and "Dish-A-Licious."

Each trick more ingenious that the one before it. Daryl took a break at this point, and Dian Thomas provided refreshments for everyone. Thank you, Dian.

Daryl started the second half of the lecture with a bonus effect "All Tied Up," which is based on the "Grandmother's Necklace." He then did "Presto-Attracto Card II," "Daryl's Color Changing Knives," and "Fusion Illusion." "Fusion Illusion" uses the "Cross the Gaze Switch" by Juan Tamariz. This switch is one of the most ingenious methods for switching two small items around.

Daryl

Daryl finished the lecture with the "Ultimate Ambition Improved." Any true card aficionado will want to learn this effect. A deck of cards is bond with a piece of rope, and a signed card is placed in the middle of the deck. However, with a simple snap of the fingers the signed card appears at the top of the deck. Ending a wonderful routine, and a fantastic lecture. Thank you, Daryl for sharing your enthusiasm for magic with all those that attended.
